I almost psyched myself out to do this run tonight.  I, typically, run in the morning after I take Ethan to school, but I just couldn't get my act together today to do it.  Sooo, I came *this close* to calling it a day.  I really want to stick with my Monday, Wednesday, Friday routine- it's easy for me, it gives me my weekends, and it works with my schedule.  If I didn't run today, I was messing up my whole routine.  So, a little after 9pm tonight, I set out to complete Week 3 Day 1 with my trusty new iPod Shuffle and downloaded Hip Hop Podcast hooked to my ears.

This week's run consists of a 5 minute walk warm-up, 90 second run, 90 second walk, 3 minute run, 3 minute walk, REPEAT, and 5 minute cool down.  The whole idea of running for double what I had been had me a LOT anxious, but I did it!  I ran in my neighborhood and did so much better than I ever thought that I could!  My mileage was a little over a mile and a half, which is less than the previous two weeks.  I haven't figured out why that is- maybe because the time was less?  Too tired to figure it out right now.  LOL.

Pat me on the back because this is something that I never thought I would do or could do for that matter, and I am doing it!  Thanks to everyone for the encouragement!  *muah*

  1. I want to thank you for inspiring me. I didn't run much at all in December because of the cold temps in the early a.m. but I am back at it this month. Aiming for 4 runs a week.. and maybe I'll get to that half marathon that's calling my name. Keep up the good work... and remember running is all about the mind. ;)
