We have had multiple tornado warnings since last night. I slept through the happenings last night, even though we were in the "red" on the radar. Scott is a storm chaser-wannabe, so he was up most of the night watching the storm. This morning, the road to Ethan's school was flooded, but they didn't close it until 8:30 so there were a bunch of little cars that looked like they were going to float away just to get the kiddos to school. The things we do for education...
Right before I left to go pick Ethan up today, it started to rain. It was a steady rain, but it didn't occur to me that it might turn ugly. I got to school just in time. Scott called to say that we were under another tornado warning. I was on my way out when the announcement came over the loudspeaker. Ethan's teacher said to GO because they wouldn't let us leave after they went lockdown. So, lockdown was being called as I ran out the front door.
The weather quickly turned U.G.L.Y. And, there were (once again) stupid fools of the road who did not have their lights on. I can be a lights nazi in bad weather. Guess what peeps- if your wiper blades are moving, your lights need to be on.
Anywho- all's well. I don't think any tornadoes actually formed and if they did, I haven't heard about it.
