Couponing

I have high aspirations of being an awesome couponer...in my head.  The ideas flow for how organized my new little binder with 9-pocket page Ultra-Pro baseball card holder sheets will be once filled with multiple bar-coded, money-saving goodness.  The image of standing at the grocery checkout waiting for the clerk to ask if I have any coupons- "Why, yes- yes, I do", as I drop a hefty handful of scannable discounts over to where my bill goes from well over $100 to less than $20.  Ahhh, in my head it has stayed.

Because once I open the ads of the local newspaper and see all of the mass coupons that are waiting be cut, I begin to have a panic attack of which page of my nifty 9-pocket page Ultra-pro sheet I am going to use because it HAS to be organized.  What's the point of having an awesome 9-pocket page Ultra-pro sheet if it isn't organized?  THEN, to actually organinze the 9 pockets of each sheet.  Someone get me a bag, I'm hyperventilating thinking of it.

And, let's talk about coupon verbiage...so, you have to buy 3 in order to get a buck off?  Really?  I don't get it...

Yes, I have heard of Southern Savers and it is just as overwhelming.  Someone, anyone PLEASE have pity on me and hold a coupon intervention with me.

  1. HA! I also have the nifty 9 pocket per page binder. But I also have the 4 and 3 pocket sheets as well. I really like those. I am about 3 weeks behind though in getting them organized. I do save a lot with coupons but can't say I've ever had a a total of over $100 go down to $20... That would be nice!

Good luck with it all. You can do it! watch a movie or hang out with E while he watches a movie and just start cutting. It can take awhile!
