Field Trip!

Today, Ethan had a field trip to Tanglewood Park for a hay ride up to the pumpkin patch to pick out a pumpkin.  He was NOT a fan of the hay ride.  It's slightly embarrassing when your kid is the only one freaking out on a hay ride. 

After Ethan picked out his pumpkin, it was back on the hay ride.  His assistant teacher has been fabulous with him.  Ethan was being very grabby and mean, but she kept saying "gentle" to him and working him through it.  I have been very pleased with how they are working with him.

We had lunch at one of the shelter's and then went to play on the playground.  Normally, Ethan is all about the swing, but not today.  He flipped out.  So, I put him on the "Jeep" to drive and he loved it.  I think this is because I always try to get the grocery cart with the steering wheels for him to "drive". 



The biggest smile of the day was when Ms. Monica played by the tic-tac-toe.  I think that Ethan would have been perfectly ok with me not being there today.  He may be asserting some of his big boy independence by not wanting me chaperoning anymore.  I don't know, but this Momma may have a hard time with that!
