AKA: Obstructive Sleep Apnea
Ethan definitely has it. I took a call from his ENT a couple of hours ago to go over his sleep study results. So, basically anything between 0 and 5 episodes in an hour is considered normal; Ethan had 23. That puts him in the moderate OSA range.
If Ethan were a "compliant" child, we would be looking into getting him a CPAP, but that is obviously not an option for Ethan. Other options include: tonsillectomy, palette extension/expansion, and tongue reduction.
Ethan's tonsils are hardly enlarged, so we will likely have to consider all of the other options outside of the CPAP. The whole tongue reduction thing sounds so weird to me, and I don't think it will help us with his feeding issues- it will likely set us back even more, but I also can't risk the long-term affects of him having OSA either.

You will do what is right. Payton had moderate OSA too before her surgery and then it was reduced to mild. You may not need to go as far as you think.
