Pip's Name

I think more people wanted to know what Pip's name would be over whether she was a boy or girl!  Some of you are very impatient, lol!

So, as you know now, Pip's name is Cora Lynlie Faulkner.

How did we choose this name?  Well, I have loved Cora since high school when I saw The Last of the Mohicans  for the first time.  I struggled with choosing it since my family has a habit of wanting all "C" names to be "K" names and I do not like Cora as Kora.  But, we have put our foot down that we do NOT want to ever see Cora's name spelled with a K.  We are NOT the Kardashian's, ha!

The middle name was a bit more of a challenge.  Scott really wanted a family name, but I didn't want to choose between the families.  I liked Elyse a lot and Scott would say, "eh, it's ok."  Then, one night in my sleep it came to me:  can I combine our mothers names somehow?  Why yes, yes I can!

Scott's mom's name is Lynda and my mom's name is Leslie.  Lynda and Leslie.

I presented the name to Scott the next morning and he marinated on it for a nanosecond before he said, "Yep.  That's it."

Where's my easy button?  All the back and forth on names when the answer was within the family the entire time.  :)
